crochet corner: completed wrap and sheepjes yarn

February 17, 2019

I started crocheting when I was recovering from chemo and to say it’s become an obsession would be the hugest understatement of the year.

I adore it. (And I have the huge pattern stash and pile of yarn to prove it. I’m on Ravelry as smudgeddesign if you’d like to connect there.)

Thought I’d do some yapping about the yarny goodness of my crochet world. Show you what I’m working on. Talk a bit about new-to-me yarn I’ve discovered. All that good stuff. Here goes.

My latest finished object is the Monday Morning Shawl from Little Monkey Designs. I was attracted to it because of the squishy texture. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that the stitch pattern is easily memorized. It’s a nice unwinding-in-the-evening-watching-tv kind of project. It’s also a great beginner project if you are new to crochet.

I strayed a bit from the color scheme. Here is the one I made.
